I went to brunch with two of my girlfriends on Saturday and this is what I came home to. Toys scattered all over the living room, including the laundry basket, and John asleep on the couch. Joslyn wore Daddy out.
On Sunday, John took a trip to Walgreens to pick up my prescription and came home with a blow up pool for Joslyn, or for him. I'm still not sure who he really bought it for because he seemed to be enjoying it even more than Joslyn. She wasn't a big fan of the cold water but he got in there and eventually she joined him. They played kitchen and made soup while I sat in a chair with my camera and watched them have fun together. Joslyn is so very lucky to have a Daddy that gets in there with her to play and is involved in the little moments of her life every day. I married John because I knew he was a great man and would be my perfect partner in life. And I knew he would be a great dad to our children too but I could have never guessed how great of a dad he would become. He's a true partner in raising our daughter and when I see them together, my heart swells with love.
